Love is like the ocean
And life is a little weird
We never truly know a person
Till we’re on the ground covered in their tears

The sky is like a maze of ever-changing dreams
The cold hard ground a shimmering mess
Of dying human beings

Our own earth of personal perception
Defined by each, our own
Each apart of a hemisphere
Each really on our own

The universe incredible
Consumed by so many unknowns
Makes me wonder of all we’re missing
As we’re staring at our phone

I guess the world is round
And many shades of color
I guess I should have never left my one and only lover
But If not me them
If not them me
Things in life happen because they were just meant to be

Organized chaos
Disorganized peace
All the same but different
All could bring us to our knees

Thankful we should be of the many shades of life
Grateful we should be for the many broken hearts
All but lessons with meaning
All but shades of light

Oblivious never
Aware only sometimes
Awake for most of it
Asleep only some nights

Life is but a lesson written for all
None the same in length and theory
Actually, none the same at all.

We live and live
And end up dying
So live and live
And wake up smiling
The end all but near
But truly far away

Enjoy today
Since tomorrow could actually
Be a lifetime away.
