Wicked Love

Goosebumps run throughout your body

as you tilt your head to allow her better access.

You faintly hear her whispered desires,

as you become hyperaware of the metallic smell of your blood on her knife.

She holds the Knife against your neck

and whispers the three words you were willing to die for

 ” I Love you”.

Love become the cause of death.

you loved her dangerously

she loved you selfishly.

Both unaware but completely

Intune of what was happening.

Both consumed by different sins,

But intertwined by their selfish needs.

you were willing to die for it,

and she was willing to kill for it.

Her love your cause of death

Your life her purpose to kill.

I have learnt to never underestimate the intoxicating power of sexual desire and it’s outpouring of metaphorical meaning.

I have learned to differentiate between passion and lust. So many confuse love for obsession not realizing that the feeling should surpass the flesh and touch the soul. Hence the wickedness of this toxic love that inevitably lead to his death in my poem. He loved her more than he loved himself and that was his biggest mistake. Thank you Andy !
