Soul Food

“Graduation Night” Taken by Me โค

For the first time in a long time I cry happy tears.

Tears consumed with pride, and self accomplishment.

ย

My Soul is happy.

As I stood in front of the sea,

everything stilled as I spoke.

I Spoke with words filled with truth and heartbreak.

Breaking down my Borderlands, breaking down their Borderlands.

Planting a seed in their soul,

Watching their beings as I preached and shun onto them a light of

Self awareness, dignity, self love, and and self growth.

Fed them Soul food.

As their Soul cried, and craved for more than just โ€œknowledgeโ€.

Food cultivated by past struggles and tribulations,

Pain and hunger.

Cultivated, seasoned and given to them with the hope of leaving them with a thirst for the truth, a thirst for more than their souls ever imagined.

They ended up thirsty,

I ended up full.

My Soul ended up dancing a song,

Mind racing with Joy,

Body tingling with comfort, and need for more Growth.

I am proud of my Being, Mind, Body, and Soul.

I am proud of the gifts given to me by God, David, My Father, Mother, Brother.

Blessed with those who only add to my light.

I walk with a new light, I dance with gusto, and life.

My soul is happy.

Continue to fill me with the seeds and blessings of honesty, happiness, and self growth.

Amen.
